Behind Birdie’s
This weekend, I was excited to catch Birdie’s seasonal Italian-American Aiello’s menu. I wanted to capture the way that the restaurant feels like grabbing a bite in someone’s home – the interior feels worn in, natural, and thoughtful. While I wanted to feature the bright and hearty dishes like Caesar salad and pasta alla vodka, I also wanted to explore how the ambience plays a significant role in the dining experience. Because the meal is coursed out over time, I wanted each food photo to symbolize the beginning, middle, and end of the meal, telling a story in the form of courses.
